There is a direct flight From Moscow to Ulan–Ude by air companies: «Aeroflot»,"S7","VIM-AVIA", «Ural Airlines», «Yakutia». Travel time is 5–6 hours. International airport «Baikal» is situated 15 kilometers from the city center or a 20-minute drive away. You can get from the airport to the city center by public transport, using route buses: № 28, № 55, № 77. Travel time is 20 minutes.
By train
The distance from Ulan–Ude to Moscow is 5519 km by rail way. It takes 4 days. The railway station is 2 km away from the city center, or a 5minute drive away. You can get from the railway station to the city center by public transport, using route buses: № 4, № 23, № 36, № 63.
By car
The total length of roads in Buryatia is more than 14 thousand km. Two federal highways go through the Republic of Buryatia: they are the highway M55 “Baikal” from Moscow to Vladivostok and A165, Ulan–Ude — Kyakhta — Mongolia.
